2016-2017

I assisted in the broadcasts of football games, I filmed volleyball, women's tennis, and men's soccer. During the winter I took stats and tweeted updates during basketball broadcasts. During my junior year, our class was combined with students interested in only sports and others only with the news. I wanted to focus only on sports, along with only a few other students in the class. During my junior year, I worked filming, writing, and editing stories for our weekly news show. Because only a few were interested in sports we were assigned to film everything, during the fall and winter of junior year I was filming at least two games a week. This taught me how to use my time wisely, learn better filming, and editing skills at a quick pace. Although my skills were improved I didn't have to time focus on endorsement projects, which leads me to my senior year.

2017-2018

This year for 2017-18 the classes were split for news and sports. I had to do several endorsement projects. My first was for a local boy scout troop in Olathe, they needed a promotional video to bring new members to the troop. I met with one of the scout leaders and kept in contact with him throughout the summer. I received positive feedback from the troop and leader. My second endorsement project was with the head girls basketball coach, Joel Branstrom. Coach Branstrom requested to have away games filmed. Two students and I worked on this, I covered and edited 8 games for Coach Branstrom. The most time-consuming endorsement project was a 5th-grade farewell video for cedar creek elementary in Olathe, I worked on this with a friend in the entertainment strand. I've completed 120 endorsement hours to get endorsed by the e-Communication program.

2018-Beyond

After graduating from Olathe Northwest I will be attending the University of Kansas and I plan to major in sports management and possibly double major with broadcast journalism.
